Teaching

The Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) views itself as a bridge between the fields of computer science and electrical engineering. We offer courses on the following main topics:

  • Digital Systems and Microcomputer Technology,
  • Computer Architecture,
  • Embedded Systems,
  • Data Communication and Networks and
  • Development of ASICs and SoCs

as well as

  • Software Engineering,
  • Requirements Engineering,
  • Systems Engineering,
  • Cognitive Automation and
  • Autonomous Systems.

Hence, the ICT contributes a considerable part of the education in the curriculum of electrical engineering, both in the Bachelor program “Electrical Engineering and Information Technology”, as well as in the Master programs (especially in the Master program “Embedded Systems”). In TISS you will also find an overview of the offered “Elective Courses”.

Many interesting projects are always worked on and a large number of projects, Bachelor theses und Master theses are offered. Students are also invited to get in touch with their supervisors (you own ideas are more than welcome).
