Manfred Lindner studierte Elektrotechnik an der Technischen Universität Wien. 1983 erlangte er das Diplom aus Industrieller Elektronik und Regelungstechnik mit Auszeichnung und war bis 1990 als Universitätsassistent am Institut für Datenverarbeitung (jetzt Institut für Computertechnik) im Bereich Datenkommunikation, Protokolle, lokale Netzwerke, Multiprozessor- und Bussysteme, VLSI Einsatz von LAN-Controlern sowie Echtzeit-Betriebssysteme tätig. Danach über die Aktion "Wissenschaftler für die Wirtschaft" Wechsel in die private Industrie. Seit 1987 regelmäßige Vorlesungstätigkeit als Universitätslektor an der TU-Wien.

Manfred Lindner studied control engineering, industrial electronics and computer science at the Vienna University of Technology. 1983 he received the "Diplomingenieur" degree and joined the Institute of Computer Technology as a research and teaching assistant until 1990. His main topics at the ICT were datacommunication, protocols, local area networks (LAN), multiprocessor- and bussysteme, VLSI provisioning of LAN-Controler and real-time-operating-systems. After the university he changed via the program "scientists for the industry" to the private industry. Since 1987 he holds lectures at the Vienna University of Technology.
